Saskatoon Holiday Mini Sessions 2024
While there are many things that remain the same in booking a mini session and full session, there are some key differences that you need to be aware of when you are thinking about booking your next session.
Let's start with the full session. There are advantages to going for the full meal deal, let's be clear about that. If you have a specific location in mind or if you need me to come to you because travelling feels like too much, you'll want to plan for a full session.
Full sessions can happen any time of year. They are fully customizable to your needs. I help you with location (one or two?), outfit selection, time of day that works best for your children's ages and any other specific or unique requests that you have (need a shot with your donkey, or alpaca, let me know....snakes, I'll work with you on finding a new photographer and wish you all the very best). While the price point is higher than the mini session, let's talk about the added value that comes along with that. I guarantee around 75 shots from a full session that you get to keep and download and print to your hearts desire. That being said 99% of my clients get significantly more than 75 files. I will not hold back, you get everything that is flattering and looks good.
Full sessions are typically about an hour; give or take. It really depends on location choices as well as how the kids (or animals) are doing. The advantage to a full session in terms of time is that we have the opportunity to be more patient with those that need it. Time is not limited.
Full sessions are available to immediate families, couples, extended families, children, families with pets, best friends, Headshots and Business Branding or a Cattle Branding if you'd prefer!
The options are endless.
Mini sessions are another great option because you are still guaranteed to get a variety and some memories you'll be able to cherish forever. The big differences between a full session and a mini session is the time and the cost. Mini sessions are only offered certain times of year, so you may have to compromise with your schedule to make it work. While they come with a lower price point, they are only available to be booked when offered. I am able to offer a lower price point because I'm travelling to one singular location and have multiple clients coming to me. Unfortunately, driving location to location to offer mini sessions, doesn't make economical sense for a small business. But because I'm going to one location, the mileage fee is waived for you.
The mini session gallery delivers 30-50 shots and you are able to go through and pick your top 5-10 photos, depending on the mini session offering. But don't worry, if you are having troubles deciding there is always the option to purchase more.
Mini sessions last about 15-20 minutes. We get the essentials and more and you can be on your merry way onto the next scheduled thing.

If you are flexible on time and like a lower price point, keep your eyes peeled for mini session offerings.( Pro tip: Mother's Day, Autumn and The Holidays are prime time for Mini's) Most photographers will post on their social media pages to advertise. If you are wanting the comfort of your own surroundings and want a fully customizable session, then the full session is for you.
